Vivien Nagy er 31 árs doktorsnemi í lyfjafræði. Hún vinnur að verkefnefninu Lífsamhæfð og örverueyðandi húðun fyrir sílikon sem snýr að því að útbúa nýja aðferð við örverueyðandi og lífsamhæfða húðun fyrir sílikonígræðslur og gerviliði ásamt því að vinna að sílikonhúðun læknistækja.
Vivien er doktorsnemi í lyfjafræði og hefur hug, í samstarfi við leiðbeinanda sinnum Prof. Már Másson, að stofna sprotafyrirtækið Minamo til að vinna að frekari þróun og markaðssetningu uppfinningarinnar en verkefnið er unnið í samstarfi við Össur ehf. og Primex ehf.
Vivien útskrifaðist með BS gráðu frá háskólanum í Debrecen í Ungverjalandi og með mastersgráðu í lyfjafræði frá Háskóla Íslands. Á undanförnum árum hefur hún stundað doktorsnám við lyfjafræði í Háskóla Íslands.
Sprotafyrirtækið Minamo vinnur að tæknilausnum tengt framleiðslu á læknatækjum. Hér að neðan er texti um tilgang Minamo og hvað þeir eru að vinna að:
Nosocomial infections are a worldwide burden. They can be caused by medical devices, invasive procedures, surgery, and prosthetic devices. These are often caused by microbial biofilm formation on the surface of silicone devices. These infections can prolong hospital stay, increasing the substantial financial burden and can also be life threatening for the patient. Furthermore, multi-drug-resistant pathogens make the treatment of these infections challenging. Therefore, effective prevention of such infections is an important public health goal. Minamo aims to provide technology solutions to manufacturers of medical devices, prostheses, and cosmetic products to facilitate the development of new products that are resistant to bacterial colonization and more biocompatible when implanted into the human body.

Besides her PhD project and the startup work, Vivien also produces educational laboratory videos for the YouTube channel of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the university, and she has a photography project as well to highlight the artistic aspect of laboratories.
